Dr. Meron Zeleke

Meron Zeleke is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Center for Human Rights, Addis Ababa University. She has years of teaching and research experience at renowned academic institutions in Africa, North America, Europe and Asia, and is a member of several international academic associations. She has rich research experience on numerous international and national academic research projects. Her core research expertise include in areas of migration, gendered labor markets, violence against women, religion, and customary conflict resolution. Meron has extensively published in internationally renowned peer-reviewed journal on a wide range of topics such as religion, local institutions of dispute settlement, gender and migration. She has authored two books, edited book and journals, contributed chapters to several edited volumes and entries in encyclopedias including the oxford research encyclopedia of African history. She is an international editorial board member of Islamic Africa (Brill) and the Editor in Chief of the Ethiopian Journal of Human Rights.
